Job Overview
The Food Resource Coordinator is charged with the responsibility of expanding product
donations with potential, new and current food donors throughout the Fresno, Madera and
Kings Counties to help fight hunger.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and maintain food donation program to secure new and grow existing food sources:
- Maintain an active, ongoing solicitation of regional food, agriculture, and
grocery industries in order to maximize diversity of food donations, emphasizing
healthy product;
- Maintain regular contact by phone, mail and in person with all current and
previous food donors in order to solicit food donations, keep them informed
about Community Food Bank, and provide them with needed information;
- Stay current on local, regional and national food industry and hunger issues and
use this information to direct solicitation strategies;
- Ensure that food donors are acknowledged and their donation preferences are
fulfilled;
- Work with the Director of Operations and other staff as appropriate
leadership team to select, bid, and purchase food items, as needed;
- Work closely with other food banks and food donors to coordinate the
delivery and/or pick up of all donated item, as well as develop and implement a food donor recognition program.
Prepare and maintain materials and records pertaining to solicitations and donors:
- Develop presentation, recognition and other collateral material;
- Maintain accurate records of all solicitation activity and submit timely
reports
- and keep accurate contact information for all donors and update
necessary databases.
Participate in strategic planning for the CFB:
- Engage in resource development by actively seeking out potential resources in
the community;
- Represent and advocate for the organization in the community and at the
regional level;
- Engage in organization capacity‐building activities;
- Attend staff meetings;
- Adhere to Feeding America and CFB regulations and guidelines;
- Assist with other agency departments and activities as needed (e.g. events);
- Provide excellent customer service to all CFB customers including CFB clients,
staff, donors, logistics personnel, agency personnel, volunteers, board
members, and the general public.;
- Engage in the following tasks or behaviors that represent excellent customer
service: timely responses, punctuality and attendance, treating others with
respect, distributing quality product, being knowledgeable and providing
accurate information, and using appropriate non‐verbal and verbal
communication;
- And perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty
satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or

- Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business, or related field
- At least two years experience in the food industry, sales or marketing
- Ability to effectively communicate (written and oral) and work well with a variety of
stakeholders from different socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve, analyze data, make good decisions, attend to
details, and manage projects
- Advanced computer skills (word processing, spreadsheet, email)
- Must have valid CA driver’s license with good driving record
- Must be insurable by CFB company vehicle insurance provider

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an
employee to successfully perform essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations

This position is located at a warehousing/distribution facility. With distribution center and truck
traffic in the facility and grounds, a few steps to walk up into the facility and product stacked
and stored throughout, this position requires someone who is mobile and who can watch for traffic and normal hazards of a distribution center environment.
While performing the job duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear.
- The employee frequently is required to stand, walk and/or reach with hands and arms.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to use a computer to track detailed data, write reports and receive information; must be able to communicate by phone and in person;
- must be able to drive to and from meetings, events, and to run errands:
- Must be able to attend work on a daily basis as scheduled.
