Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with and ability to learn common IT hardware, software, platforms, and systems
• Database and SQL programming experience
• Maintain and enhance computer code to meet changing customer and industry needs
• Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Visual Basic
• The ability to create user friendly user interfaces
• Designing, coding and debugging applications in Sequel and Visual Basic
• Software testing and quality assurance
• Integrate software with existing systems
• Evaluate and identify new technologies for implementation

Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Experience in the energy industry and familiarity with energy terms
• Familiarity with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) protocol
• Ability to utilize Crystal Reports
• Marketing

Roles and Responsibilities

• Complete the development of a company database that is already under construction
• Identify and develop technology-related solutions (databases, software, invoicing, web portals, mobile applications, etc)
• Improve already-existing data acquisition and management systems
• Innovate

Summary

The successful candidate for this position will be someone who wants to make a career in the energy business. The ideal candidate will be the “go-to” person for all computer, technology programming, and data management issues within the company and must be able to follow through and complete long-term project goals. There is increasing compensation with no typical up side limits. The successful candidate must be willing to make a long-term commitment to this growing business. After the successful 3-month trial employment period, the candidate must be willing to commit to an employment agreement.
